Alan has never met a conference sign he didn't like

Alan Trieu is Cinchy's Account Director who previously held senior roles with leading financial services firms including BMO.

He is also a Partner at the Product Marketing Community, a not-for-profit that brings together the best and brightest Product Marketers to a unique conference featuring industry leaders.

Join us every Thursday for our Data Fabric learning series as we discuss Data Fabric concepts, roadmaps, best practices, and demos, alongside special guests.

So ahead of all the fun, we asked Alan what he'd be checking out at this year's Collision Conference, which is Toronto's first of two years as host city.

1. Learn at MoneyConf

As someone working primarily with financial services companies, I'm especially interested in getting the latest news and trends at the MoneyConf stage (Tuesday, all day, Stage 4).

A couple of my Cinchy customers are speaking during the track and so that will be great to check out.

2. Check out Growth Summit

Wednesday and Thursday will see some really exciting startup companies take to the stage.

I'm particularly looking forward to checking out what fellow Scale Up Ventures company Wysdom.AI will be sharing.

3. Re-connect with friends

Big conferences are also social events and this will be a great opportunity to re-connect with old friends and colleagues from Canada's tech scene.

There will be many to meet, but there's always a special place for those who have helped Cinchy on our journey.

I look forward to seeing Sunil Sharma and Tariq Haddadin from TechStars, as well as Sen Sachi over at the DMZ booth.

I'll also be catching up with our former TechStar cohort buddies like Alana & Christian from Flipd, Saroop from Senso AI, and Noah and Vivek from Tread.io.

4. Meet CTA reps

Cinchy is currently having a very positive experience being part of the Canadian Technology Accelerator program run by our Trade Commissioners / Department of Global Affairs.

It's always good to meet up with our reps Todd Barrett (Toronto) and Josh Kleyman (NYC).

They have provided real support to our sales efforts as Cinchy works to open international markets.

This a great program that other Canadian scale-ups should check out. They will be at the Canada pavilion at Collision.

Awkward segway alert 😂...

I'll be co-hosting a roundtable for financial services tech executive on Tuesday, June 12 2-5PM at the Canadian Consulate in NYC, just ahead of CB Insight's Future of Fintech event.

This pre-event warm up will be co-hosted by Cinchy, HSBC, fellow CTA member Tehama, and Canada's NYC-based Trade Commissioners.

5. Have a few laughs

On Wednesday night, Collision is turning Toronto's King Street West into the starting point of "Ye Old Toronto".

It's going to be a lot of fun to network with industry friends over a drink and choosing from the amazing food and beverage options.

I recommend you try one of the best sandwiches in Toronto at Porcetta (545 King St W), the world-class Thai at Khao San Road (11 Charlotte St.), or the fun vibe at Belfast Love (548 King St W).

Pro tip: if you make it a late one, or even an early one, there's a 24 Hr diner in the Thompson Hotel (51 Bathurst St).

Meet Me at Collision 2019

Cinchy has a great spot at booth E239 (near the Main Stage). Don't forget to stop by and try your luck finding the magic key that will unlock our prize box.

Please also feel free to book a personal 1-2-1 demo with me, either before, during, or after the conference.

For anyone new to our story, Cinchy is the Data Collaboration Platform that is doing for enterprise data what Slack has done for team communications and Jira has done for projects.

Our customers include TD, RBC, and Colliers International who use Cinchy to accelerate multiple mission-critical projects and drastically lower development costs.

I hope we're able to "collide" at Collision!

Have a great show.
